Today CEJA, the voice of European Young Farmers, is pleased to announce a partnership with DeLaval, a company that develops and manufactures equipment and complete systems for milk production worldwide, to officially launch the online survey “European Young Farmers: Building a sustainable sector.”

The survey — available in 7 official languages — is open to all young farmers across Europe and aims to understand the needs of young farmers in order to implement a more sustainable agricultural sector and see how they look at their future.

Speaking on the launch, CEJA President Alan Jagoe stressed that “without the input of young farmers in their future I don’t see how policymakers can make the informed decisions we need to see at the European stage. We as CEJA are happy to partner with DeLaval to support further research into the sector.”

Joakim Rosengren, President & CEO of DeLaval, stressed that: “DeLaval is committed to support the next generation of farmers towards a more sustainable and profitable agriculture. We are very pleased to collaborate with CEJA on this survey and we look forward receiving the answers from young farmers across Europe on this important matter”.

The collected results will be presented in a final report in September during an event in Brussels, aiming to involve EU institution and all major stakeholders.

So… if you are a young farmer from one of the 28 EU countries, what you are waiting for?
